Nigerian British Councillor suspended for making anti-gay comments on social media

A Nigerian British Councillor, Chika Amadi, who serves as a councilor on Harrow Council in the UK, has been suspended by UK's Labor party for making anti-gay comments on social media. Chika who is also a charity worker and a pastor,  had gone on social media two days ago to refer to gay persons as “paedophiles” and threatened to unleash the “burning anger” of God on her critics.
Chika shared a 2014 post from an anti-LGBT Christian website on her twitter handle and wrote
“Walking about naked in front of children is nothing but paedophelia being labelled liberalism,” she
tweeted.

Another tweet said: “Try me try my God. Walk naked in front of my child, you will know whether you are normal or not.”
She replied those who questioned her tweets.

On her Facebook page last month, Amadi also posted: “Recently one respectable man in my constituency questioned me on my faith especially on homosexuality. I warned him not to try me next time. Anyone who wants to bring me down from my political career because of my faith and stand on the word of God will encounter the burning anger of the God that I serve.”
Some UK LGBT members petitioned the Labor party and she was suspended yesterday. A spokesperson of the party who confirmed her suspension said
"Chika Amadi has been suspended from the Labour party pending an investigation.”
