The Austrian town of Hainfeld has put a stop to the total-body swimsuit - complete with head covering - triggered by the country’s far-right Freedom Party.

Abia Crisis: Ogah Goes Underground As He Plots Swearing-In

The newly appointed ‘governor of Abia State’, Sampson Ogah, has taken refuge at an unknown location in Umuahia, the state capital, as he awaits his swearing-in, an aide has told PREMIUM TIMES.
Mr. Ogah arrived Umuahia with the certificate of return issued to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Thursday, hoping to be sworn in that day or Friday.

Militants Storm Cross Rivers Governor's Office, Hold Deputy Governor Hostage

Over 20 suspected Bakassi militants on Friday invaded the Cross River State Governor’s office in Calabar, apparently to express anger over alleged abandonment of the Bakassi returnees by the government.
The group, PREMIUM TIMES learnt, arrived the state’s seat of power shortly after the Deputy Governor, Ivara Esu, reported for duties.

SSS Arrests Suspected Abductor Of Missing Abuja Girl

Operatives of the State of State Services (SSS) have arrested, Mr. Cornelius Ubara, the suspected abductor of 16-year old Miss Precious Osuji, who got missing from her home in Kapwa, a suburb of Lugbe in Abuja on November 13, 2015.

The suspect was until the sudden disappearance of Precious a tenant of her parents and lived with them in the same premises.

Gunmen attack restaurant in Dhaka's diplomatic quarters, customers, including foreigners taken hostage

Several foreigners are said to be among a number of hostages taken by gunmen who attacked a restaurant in the diplomatic quarter of the Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka today. Eight or nine attackers were said to have stormed the Holey Artisan Bakery, located in the city's diplomatic quarter. 
One kitchen staffer said that the gunmen were armed with firearms and bombs, entering the bakery at around 9:20pm local time and taking customers and staff hostage at gunpoint.

Barely a day after popular Hausa musician, Ado Daukaka was released by his abductors, he was arrested by Adamawa police, Premium Times reports.

The police said Daukaka was invited to give details concerning his abduction but family sources said the singer was arrested following a complaint made by the lawmaker representing Yola North in the state House of Assembly, Suleiman Alkali, who claimed that the musician ridiculed him in a song which condemned the level of corruption and inefficiency in the state.
